Tebow-mania has hit New York. As reported in the NY Times: “In a move that diversifies their offense but threatens to undermine Mark Sanchez, the Jets on Wednesday agreed to a trade for Tim Tebow, the popular but polarizing quarterback from the Denver Broncos. The deal is pending N.F.L. approval.”
The Denver Bronco’s signing of Peyton Manning made Tebow expendable. Despite Tebow’s infectious winning ways and his leading the Bronco’s to a victory in the playoffs over the Pittsburgh Steelers last season, it was perhaps too much for the Broncos leadership team to pass up the chance to retain the services of Peyton Manning, widely regarded as one of the best quarterbacks of this era. Hall of Fame quarterback and Bronco’s President John Elway signaled that he wanted to go with ‘Plan A’ and in letting go Tebow he acknowledged ‘We Don’t Have a Plan B’. Elway in explaining his belief that Peyton Manning was the man best able lead the franchise in its pursuit of another Lombardi Trophy, paid Tebow a great compliment. As reported in the Wall Street Journal, at a news conference introducing Manning, Elway offered that he was exploring all options for Tebow:
“Tim Tebow is a great kid. If I want someone to marry my daughter, it would be him,” Elway said. “But I think with the opportunity to have Peyton Manning’s services, we had to take advantage of that. Now that it’s happened, we have to go back and address Tim and see what the best situation is for the Denver Broncos, as well as him.”
Tim Tebow is a winner. It is plain and simple. Any discussion about Tim Tebow should begin first and foremost with the fact that he is a proven winner. Tebow is a man who gets the most of his god given talents. Some will argue that there are more purely talented quarterbacks in the NFL. Few consider him a franchise QB in the same vein as Peyton Manning, Eli Manning or Tom Brady; ‘All he does is win’. You would get no argument from me on that score and I suspect even Tim Tebow knows that he still has to develop and fight to create a legacy as well as simply maintain a job in the competitive NFL. Tebow is young and has proven relentless in his commitment to improve every aspect of his game, to prove doubters wrong and to otherwise simply be the best that he can be while he ‘LEADS’. Doubters point to his passion for his Christian faith as it if that is emblematic of his problems. Last I checked, New York counts among its citizens and sports fans people of faith and I believe that we even have a few churches here in Manhattan. A belief in god is only a disqualifying credential among the soul less. But that is besides the point, Tebow can play.
As Sinatra famously said, ‘If I can make it there, I will make it anywhere.” Tebow has presumably taken the doubters with a grain of salt by now. New York is for winners. Winners come here. Winners want to compete here. It is awful when you lose in this town. But for those who have witnessed the championship runs of the New York Yankees and New York Giants in recent years, it is quite special to have that media glow and millions of fans behind you. The light is about to shine even more brightly on a man who has come to the world’s biggest stage.
As a New Yorker, born and raised in Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan with a stint outside the city in my adult years in Westchester County and as one who lived through the torturous 70’s and 80’s drout, I am only to pleased to have in our city, Tebow, a man I met and photographed several years ago during the Heisman Trophy Awards week in Midtown. And I pray he sticks with the New York Jets, even if he may have a hankering for Jacksonville and even if still others may wish he goes back there.
Welcome to New York City Mr. Tebow. Let’s hope god is a Jets fan cause I already know he is a Tebow fan.
IS SOROS PLAYING ‘WIMPY THE MOOCHER’ TO THE GENEROUS BRAZILIAN BEAUTY?
George Soros and his damsel in distress, Adriana Ferreyr, a Brazilian beauty who appears to be a veritable renaissance woman, are back in court after failing to reach a settlement over alleged misrepresentations in their five year affair that resulted in her suing the legendary octogenerian financial king for $50 million. According to the New York Post:
George Soros offered to pay his Brazilian bombshell ex-lover Adriana Ferreyr $1 million to settle her grievances after she accused him of backing out of a promise to buy her an Upper East Side apartment, sources tell us. But furious Ferreyr turned down the lump sum, insisting she is determined to sue billionaire Soros for up to $50 million after he promised to buy her a dream, $1.9 million East 85th Street pad, then instead gave it to his new girlfriend, Tamiko Bolton, who — according to Ferreyr — he’d claimed was his nurse. The warring pair head in to court again April 17, with Soros demanding a judge throw out her case against him.
Don’t hate the player, hate the game some might say. Truth told, I have always been intriqued by George Soros and think he is undoubtedly one of the most brilliant men of our time. Even so, smart men often make stupid moves and are tempted to behave badly when in the pursuit of younger women. Fact is some extremely affluent players, for whom millions are relative pennies to the average man, get away with seducing pretty young things all on the mere suggestion if not bold representations, express or implied, that they will shower them with gifts down the road, take care of them and otherwise enable their lives or grease the wheels of their independent success in a meaningful way. If you ask me, some of these young ladies are foolish if they don’t get something more than what amounts to a facial on the front end for a promise on the back end. Soros is I am sure well aware that his wealth and power is very much an aphrodisiac for many women, but he should also know that cheapness is a buzz kill and brings your stature down to that of a poor man with a small penis. Power and status may give you currency with sought after younger women, even those who possess the youth, raw beauty, talent and creative spirit of someone like Adriana Ferreyr. You must however be able to part with a few shekels, especially when you seem to have an endless supply of them. So what if you ‘lose’ a few more coins if the one who brought you such pleasure should walk upon the conclusion of your affair with honor, dignity and grace and without anger, hostility or sadness? You never want to tell a woman that she is worth less than the world if she literally gives it all to you in terms of her innocence, youth and beauty. Is that not priceless? It is thus, in my opinion, truly in bad form, especially when what she requires to move on peacefully is relative chump change but you decide to haggle. It makes you akin to the character Wimpy the Moocher from Popeye the Sailor who famously was known for the tag line: “I will gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today.”
Well the girl clearly gave up the hamburger (or the pink taco whatever the case might be) and then some for the better part of five years man. George why make Adriana grovel? How do you put a price on five (5) years of a young woman’s life? Or worse, why low ball her?
The non billionaire, working class or professional working class drone or low 7 figure salaried slave either pays by the minute, the hour or by the life time if he gets married. You have got to pay to play in this town. There is no way getting around that. That is the deal even when you are not 80 years old, at least for women of a certain caliber, like renaissance women with the brains, beauty and talent of the Brazilian knockout. All you have to do is take a walk into Lavo New York on East 58th Street between Park and Madison Avenue on a week night in this ‘half hooker economy’ to realize that pretty young things, pro or not cost more than a cocktail or two or future promises of affection. Most expect you to show them the money up front and that is true even and especially if you want to put a ring on it. Now, I am not in any way suggesting that Adriana Ferreyr is a hooker. Even so, there are rules of engagement in the realm of ‘transactional romance’; a certain protocol, manners and etiquette when a gentleman hopes to freely partake of a young woman’s special gifts, especially if there are no representations of a permanent relationship with the house and the white picket fence, or in New York City, a Penthouse view at 1 Central Park West. You are simply deluding yourself if you are an 80 plus year old wrinkled man, even one who has all the power and intelligence in the world, and you think she is charmed by the cellulite on the back of your saggy old ass or shriveled up scrotum with grey hair. You get to the point where you do not have to watch Hitchcock, Halloween or Friday the 13th to scare yourself but can simply stand in front of a full length mirror upon exiting the shower. So if you are feeling me man then perhaps you are getting the picture. There is undoubtedly a major sacrifice here on her part no matter how intriquing a character you may be. As a man you should always be eternally grateful for the wanton things that some women willingly do to give you memorable nights between the sheets or on the living room floor, a limousine or in the shower. You get the picture? Cleaning toilets at the Waldorf Astoria rather than at an uptown youth hostel is nicer but it is still cleaning a toilet. Some times the old pipes have a good degree of rust and soot for a plumber to contend with.
In my opinion, it says alot about a man’s character that George Soros would rather pay his attorney William Zabel than the 20 something year old creative and talented beauty who nurtured and bedded his wrinkled hide for the better part of five years. Is not he better than this? You see I always thought he was. This would be especially bad for the philanthropist’s brand as a human being if he promised to shower Adriana Ferreyr with gifts and security, including a $1.9 million apartment before welching on the promise and giving it to some other young thing who was also simultaneously nursing the octogenerian billionaire and financial overlord. Soros is a smart man. He has to know that there is a better way to treat a young lady, especially one with the class, manners and breeding of Ms. Adriana. Seriously, look at this woman.
Why are Picower, Madoff and Zabel relevant? George Soros should not want to be in the same sentence as any of those guys for what amounts to short change with a former girlfriend. He has enough ‘fuck you money‘ not to get his hands dirty. Zabel has a reputation as a fix it man, sort of like the Bruce Cutler (mob lawyer) for high society types. As aptly surmised in the NY Times, “William D. Zabel has spent his career striking complex deals for wealthy families in sticky situations.” He may have a propensity for representing GUILTY people who suicide themselves rather than pay the piper or face the music. Does the word PUSSY ring a bell? Yes, Jeffry Picower was a dirty slimy stinky pussy of a man who had he lived should have been hanged at sun down in Lower Manhattan in front of the famous Wall Street Bull – that is truly if there was any meaningful justice for financial criminals in this town. Capische? Now, I do not suspect that Soros is gonna drown himself over a few million dollars or what amounts to just another day at the office. So he may have to lose what amount’s to a days pay to settle up with a young, beautiful and sophisticated Brazilian woman who presumably did assorted nasty things on a regular basis (for five years!!) with a guy who is closer to resembling a cast member on The Dawn of the Dead than Warren Beatty in Shampoo or Michael Douglas’ Gekko in Wall Street.
Let me ask you, can you imagine giving head to an 80 year old Shrek? He promised her “an apartment”….how about the phucking Kennedy Compound brother? Do you hear me now? [ Ewwwwwwww yeah this blog is irreverent, what the phuck do you think happens when you send a kid from Queens and Brooklyn to the Ivy League? We may both have shopped at Brooks Brothers but I am no Romney. That much is clear. I am also in no rush to 'get rid of Planned Parenthood.' But I diverge.]
Soros is a sage business man, wiser than most, history has proven so. But even he has to know that it feeds into the bad narrative about selfish, greedy and indifferent financiers when you would rather pay another fellow geriatric sleazeball in a suit than a woman who went to bed with a dirty old man for five years. Squabbling with a youngster over a few million dollars, really? When you get to be 80 years old, wrinkled and chubby consider yourself fortunate that you have the billions to get a beautiful and talented 20 something year old to satisfy your manly urges. Who cares whether she truly loved you? It is irrelevant. She nurtured you. Besides which you cannot take it with you. Give the kid her cotton candy and be done with it. No I am serious, pay the girl. This is silly. The poor young thing had to go to bed with a living corpse for the better part of 5 years. Sorry George, I love you man but look a man has to look at himself in the mirror and recognize his shortcomings. When I am your age, I am not sure I even want to touch myself. Hell, I am not sure I want to do so now and I am approaching 50. Given your net worth of over $20 Billion, you are in effect haggling over buying your sugar baby an ice cream cone or a slice of pizza. FEED THE KID!!
ROMNEY LOSES DEEP SOUTH TO SANTORUM & STUMBLES INTO NYC FOR LUNCH AT THE WALDORF WITH BILLIONAIRE PALS
Hey brother, can you spare a few thousand for a struggling aspiring billionaire who is trying to beat back some paupers on his way to the White House? Mr. 1%, the man with the political instincts of Hellen Keller in a dark room touched down today in New York City for a luncheon fundraiser at the Waldorf Astoria with a few of his friends who own things. Fresh on the heels of his victory in American Samoa and two losses in Alabama and Mississipi to Conservative Rick Santorum, Mitt Romney came hat in hand to a luncheon fundraiser hosted by Manhattan based billionaire, philanthropist and supermarket magnate John Catsimatidis of the Red Apple Group and some of his well heeled friends. OWS protesters blasted the job-cutting King of Bain and his corporate donors outside the event. Mr. Catsimatidis has supported Republicans and Democrats from Ronald Reagan to Bill Clinton and is quite active locally on the New York philanthropic scene. The invitation today asked for a $1,000 minimum with a preference for at least $2,500 for the embattled Presidential aspirant now worth a paltry estimated $300 million. The invitation came with the following plee: “The Country is in crisis and we are fighting for our future. We are Fighting for The Soul of our Country.” Damn near breaks your heart and almost makes you want to cry when you see how terrified billionaires seem to be in these times. Imagine how they might feel if they were living in a box down at Occupy Wall Street rather than having to sell one of their estates to get a new Maybach?
The MBS (Mittster Backed Security) = the worst ROI for Wall Street since collapsed market for mortgaged backed securities. You see it turns out that the MBS (Mittster Backed Security), like the mortgaged backed securities which led to the financial collapse of 2008, was secured by low quality assets; including an emotion deficit and otherwise defective temperament, low grade or non-existent soul and unverifiable sincerity. There seems to be no market for this particular brand at this time. Time to cash out, not buy in. It is time to recognize that Mitt Romney is in effect a people repellent. Romney is a shape-shifting political chameleon who has been called one of the most fundamentally dishonest, fradulent and hollow men to ever seek the Presidency; and that is by people in his own party. The Obama campaign has not even got around to defining him. Santorum has bought them more time. I suspect that they could just recycle what is already out there on Romney created by members of his own party. In fairness to Romney he did win the recent Republican primary in Massachusetts in an overwhelming fashion, a veritable landslide but in a low turnout election. It says alot that a man who was the former Governor of Massachusetts cannot muster the pride in citizens to vote for one of their own for President.
This begs the question is the man clueless or otherwise completely indifferent to his actual shortcomings as a human being? Did he think he could simply buy the Presidency or did he just assume that he was on a nationwide tour having already secured what amounts to a political appointment as President of the United States by the RNC establishment in partnership with Wall Street? But don’t you think that just maybe the Mormon Madoff should have signed up for a Dale Carnegie course or at least have read the book on ‘How to Win Friends and Influence People’? Nevertheless, a man confortably ensconced in the 1% who never took the time to develop a personality is now asking his fellow 1 percenters to double down on their investment in him. You have to wonder whether at some point, calls for funds will be politely turned away with Mitt having to make the choice to write himself another check. But if you feel bad for Mitt and are already capped out in donations to his campaign, you can always write a check to the ‘Restore our Future’ PAC which supports Romney. As stated by a blogger on the Red State blog: “Romney’s Thug-PAC spent $25 million through 2/24 destroying fellow Republicans.” Forget Reagan, as postured by Michael Medved, Romney just may be the new Nixon, better to just embrace it and understand that this may be the basis for the mutual contempt shared by Democrats and Republicans for Romney.
While I so do appreciate Foxworthy’s critical endorsement, more discerning voters may want to know what Larry the Cable Guy thinks. Does Larry think that Mitt Romney can ‘git er done’ ,when it comes to the economy? Today, we are about to see whether the man who talks to voters like we are all a bunch of fifth graders, unable to discern from his ‘limitless dishonesty’ about matters of import, is right. Are the folks in Alabama or Ole Miss not smarter than a fifth grader? As skeptic voters head to the polls, will they fall for the Romney Con? Or will they just laugh amongst themselves about who let the dork out?
THE MORMON FACTOR IN THE DEEP SOUTH
THE MORMON FACTOR IN THE DEEP SOUTH
Since the hollow man, famous for his politically expedient, chameleon like manner that allows him to shapeshift from one issue to another, appears to now be opening up across the South, it might be a useful time for the charlatan and former King of Bain to come forth with some honest discussion about his cult. Regardless of what happens to Romney’s candidacy today in the deep South, as reported in the LA Times, there may be just no getting over Romney and the Mormon factor. Voter’s across this country see Romney’s religion as highly relevant, including apostates of Mormonism who also share the name Romney. The American people from the East to the rural heartland to the South seem a little more than farklempt on Romney’s unusual faith. Romney has served as a high priest in the racist Utah based LDS Mormon Cult, one founded by convicted con-artist and polygamist pedophile Joseph Smith. The folks who he informed of his love for cheesy grits, however, might not be so down with that cheesy shit, in terms of Romney’s Mormonism, especially if Romney details how Jesus intends to return to the promised land in Missouri. Truth is Conservatives may think it is Kansas anyway. After you get done clicking your heels three times saying ‘I want to go back to Kansas‘, maybe they may listen to Romney’s discussion about baptizing Holocaust victims to warm their souls or the relation of black people to Satan.
I think the notion that a candidate’s religion should not be considered and weighed thoughtfully by his constituents is absurd. I think that journalists who promote this naïve and simple minded notion as “appropriate” do a great disservice to important public dialogue that should be promoted and not discouraged. Clearly, the arbitrary and dogmatic rejection of a candidate for superficial religious reasons is equally absurd. Unfortunately, as is so often the case in our society, we tend toward the oversimplification of most issues that leads us to unreasonable dogmatic extremes on either side of the polemic debates. Mitt Romney’s Mormon faith is absolutely an issue. The relevance of this was seen in his flip flop on the subject of a woman’s right to choose as he moved from a gubernatorial race to a national bid for the presidency. He explains away his flip flop on this issue with his story of an epiphany on the subject of the right of the unborn child. This is a religious epiphany that is consistent with the prevailing religious pressure on the subject asserted by the leadership of the Mormon Church. There will be denials of this. Don’t be fooled. Imagine a Mormon president in the 80’s who might have been confronted with the question of the Equal Rights amendment to the Constitution. The Mormon Church decided that the question of this amendment was a “moral issue” and therefore felt that every member was obliged to follow the counsel of the Church in aggressively opposing this amendment. A considerable backlash resulted and I am sure the Mormon Church will be more circumspect in declaring publically its position on public policy in the future. However, the proposition 8 campaign in opposition to same sex marriage in California was heavily supported by the Mormon Church and considerable pressure was imposed on members to “take a position” by not so thinly veiled “unofficial” edicts of the Church. Once known, conformity with the Church’s position on a moral subject is thereafter considered a matter of worthiness for members of the Church. How anyone can argue that the relevance of this should be overlooked, is beyond me. It is an ignorant and unreasonable argument. Of course it matters. Mitt Romney is an active High Priest of the Mormon Church. This matters a lot! We are talking about a Church whose former prophet, Joseph Smith, declared himself King, and ordered the destruction of a private printing enterprise that was about to publish revelations about his personal indiscretions. We are talking about a Church known to have a significant history of serious political aspirations. This is NOT irrelevant. It should be concerning. At the same time… it is not all that matters. The Church supports many important and essential American values. It’s a complicated subject. Over-simplifying it does everyone a disservice.
Rick Santorum is shattering Mitt Romney’s inevitability argument.
The mainstream media subjects Roman Catholic Presidential candidate, Rick Santorum to endless questions about his Christian faith but Romney, a former Bishop in the Utah based LDS Mormon Cult, one that practices mind control on its adherents, gets off with basically some lame equivocation that he is sort of just another Christian, and that questions about his faith should be directed to a Church leader. But therein lies the rub, Romney is a church leader. Now, if a Catholic priest or a Jewish rabbi were running for President, I suspect that he too might be asked whether and what role his Church would have in his administration. Mormonism is as Christian as Islam is a Judeo faith like Judaism.
Rick Santorum is shattering Mitt Romney’s inevitability argument.
It does not matter whether you are Christian or not, Romney is an objective fraudster and con-artist, just like the convicted con-artist and polygamist pedophile Joseph Smith, who founded a cult that has more present day apostates in 12 Step Recovery Programs, like drug addicts and alcoholics than any other faith. So many ex-Mormons are simply hoping to overcome the spiritual indoctrination of a predatory spiritual corporatist fraud that preys on its people. Some even believe that Romney should denounce the Mormon Church and its racist teachings, otherwise he is unfit for the White House.
ROMNEY – A HOLLOW MAN NEEDS FILLING
In the end, it may not be necessary. The man has every conceivable advantage one could ever hope for or imagine: extreme wealth, looks, education, connections — Wall Street, the media illuminati and the RNC establishment in his corner. Yet, despite all that Romney still cannot close the deal. What gives? You think a man who had four more years to work on all his short comings rather than sit around waiting to be anointed as the chosen one, might have used some of his $250-300 million dollars in wealth to say take a Dale Carnegie course, maybe read the book, ‘How to Win Friends & Influence People’ or retain consultant, author and activisit Naomi Wolf to teach him how to resemble an actual human being rather than an android or alien pod, right?. The hollow man should have recognized sooner that he need some filling.
Rick Santorum is shattering Mitt Romney’s inevitability argument.
Romney’s marginal victories in Ohio and Michigan while outspending his opponents 12-1, were akin to Tom Brady’s – New England Patriots winning in over time vs. the champions of a Pop Warner Youth Football League. Romney is an aspiring billionaire with Wall Street, RNC establishment, DC establishment and the media illuminati in his corner running against a weak and fractured field that is so severely under financed, bordering on bankruptcy. Santorum is running on fumes, a wing and livin’ on a prayer. Romney has a special skill in making the common man feel more….common.
Rick Santorum is shattering Mitt Romney’s inevitability argument.
What is frightening is to consider what would have happened to Mitt if someone actually had the resources to wage a campaign against him? The illuminati keep pushing this soul less, duplicitous, shape-shifter forward down the throats of American citizens. Even as voters are gagging the Romney machine moves on.
On Thursday morning Joel Pollak, Breitbart.com’s editor-in-chief, appeared on CNN’s Starting Point to defend the importance of the video.
“The bombshell is the revelation of the relationship between Obama and Derrick Bell,” Pollack said. “Derrick Bell is the Jeremiah Wright of academia. He passed away last year but during his lifetime he developed a theory called critical race theory, which holds that the Civil Rights movement was a sham and that White Supremacy is the order and it must be overthrown.”
In the article that accompanies the video, Breitbart.com’s editor-at-large Ben Shapiro calls it a “smoking gun” and promises that more information on Bell’s activism will be released soon.
“This is just the beginning,” Shapiro writes. “And this video is a smoking gun showing that Barack Obama not only associated with radicals, he was their advocate.”
BREITBART’S ‘Dirty White Boys’ Get Their Panties in a Twist Over Nothing
So let me make sure I got this right. Barack Obama, then the Editor in Chief of the Harvard Law Review, hugged the first black tenured professor at Harvard Law School, who was veteran of the civil rights movement in America and who engaged in controversial and thoughtul scholarship involving CRT – Critical Race Theory on issues of race, law and power in America at a rally promoting greater diversity in Harvard’s faculty and thereby Obama is a “radical”? Some ‘dirty white boys’ who wanna be Breitbart and lead the Tea Party got their panties in a twist over this? Really? Only in America is having a conversation or expressing support for critical thinking or critical thinkers, ‘radical’. And if you are asking me do I know whether any of these intellectual thugs have small Weiner-Schnitzel, I do not, but when you behave like a man with one…you know what they say.
The rage of Joel Pollak and Ben Shapiro of Breitbart over Obama’s association with black intellectuals while a student at one of our nation’s most elite instituions of learning, at the top of the food chain, in the Ivy League, is frankly surreal and beyond ludicrous. This is, however, ultimately one of many shots to be fired over the bow by the lunatic fringe in the effort to paint the nation’s first non-white President as radical, extreme and not at all like you and me. As suggested above, it may also belie some deep rooted anxiety about their own masculinity.
OPPRESSED GROUPS HAVE A RIGHT TO INTROSPECTION, SCHOLARSHIP & SPEECH
Know that I do not feel threatened by ‘Black Power’, Gay Pride, Native American pride, La Raza or Zionism. Those who have risen from an oppressed history have a right and dare I say a duty to question the evolution of society, the treatment of their people henceforth and to engage in rational and critical thinking, scholarship and public speech even, in an effort at preserving their station if not rising up beyond it and all perceived or real challenges to their continued progress. That is America. Now for the record, while I come from a multicultural background, I have never been a slave so I cannot not identify personally with the history of the black man in America. Nor can I personally identify with the the Jewish people and a Jew who may have had relatives who died or survived the Holocaust in the century just passed. But I can say that were I either a Black or Jewish man, I would be cautious of getting too comfortable and might not ever take my freedom or standing in society for granted.
SEEDING WHITE ANGER & JEWISH MISTRUST OF THE PRESIDENT IS THE END GAME
America is a melting pot of people who understandably have pride and an interest in understanding the truth about their history and national origin. As an American of Spanish, Colombian, Italian and German/Austrian heritage I might be able to sign up for a few pride related groups myself. I am not Irish but ‘Kiss the Blarney Stone’ if I won’t be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day. Movies like Gangs of New York fascinated me, if only because it exposed, how politicians took advantage of racial and ethnic differences for political gain. Now we have “journalists” or social media entrepreneurs who do so to gain traffic, notoriety and mainstream media TV appearances and to have a role in GOP politics. There are far too many racial pragmatists still to this date, who when pushed come to shove, probably truly do not hate individual people based upon the color of one’s skin or nationality, but who given the opportunity to gain power might seek to play off steroetypes and racial fears for political gain and/or personal profit. These folks I would argue can be every bit as dangerous to the fabric of our nation as the men in white sheets and pointed hats, the KKK or the Nazi’s in Germany, if they are allowed to rise unchecked in a vaccum of intellectual critique
Critical thinking and scholarship is perhaps a radical idea for some folks. For them, critical thinkers who operate outside their acceptable paradigm, are in essence radical. Can Pollak and Shapiro be this stupid? I highly doubt it. Like Obama, they both got their law degrees from Harvard Law School, that elitist institution that Breitbart and others famously referred to as “Beirut on the Charles” River. They are Tea Party operatives, not journalists, who are politically and ideologically motivated to achieve an intended result, the removal of a black Democratic President from the White House. In that regard and towards that end, anything and everything is justifiable. They will echo George Wallace if they have to in coordination with the Republican candidates who at present seem to running a template of the Southern Strategy playing on white fear. What they are doing is feeding into the irrational threat that some insecure white men have of the radical black man rising up to challenge the white man to his very station in life, his job, his pension and even his woman.
Obama’s record as President over the last three years has its strengths and weaknesses. Some which can be defended. Other aspects which can be fairly critiqued. Say whatever you will but the man’s record is not that of a ‘radical.’ And given his propensity for wearing ’Mom Jeans’ Obama is clearly more of middle America than Breitbart’s Tea Party hipsters. You see because regardless of what the truth is about Derrick Bell’s critical race theory or CRT, the black man is hardly in a position to take over America at the present time and turn the white man into his slave but much like the Jew who fears a repeat of the Holocaust, its fair for the Black man to consider or contemplate a downgrade in his societal stature and a repeat of his enslavement on a whole other level. Hell if he should dare speak up or hug some one that certain white men deem radical, passionate men will rouse the militia to come get him and bring his ass down a level. One is hard pressed to find such a fundamental shift in the existing paradigm, especially at a time when America’s white elite have consolidated power and wealth at the very top.
Obama’s statement as a Harvard Law School student in 1991 to “open your hearts and mind” to Professor Derrick Bell, even if his scholarship is controversial or even radical in the minds of some is not of concern to me nor should it be to people of rational minds and hearts. Even if one cede’s to the right a misinterpretation of Bell’s critical race theory, that still is not evidence that Obama is a radical, as much as he was a man enveloped and engaged in the learning process. Furthermore, the real world changes the idealism of many a student, myself included. Breitbart’s echos of George Wallace will not succeed in painting Obama as a radical, nor will it ultimately succeed in putting a fissure between the Black and Jewish community as intended. ‘Pray for Andrew Breitbart.’ The charlatan’s blogging for Breitbart are not on a mission for truth in America. They are instead simultaneously pursuing a Southern Strategy seeding white anger and attempting to undermine the Jewish vote which traditionally has gone to Democrats in an effort to regain the White House for the Republican Party. They are also I suspect hoping to provoke a cautious but determined Democratic President with bonafide military credentials into a premature war with Iran, not on his terms or at a time that is in the best interest of the United States of America but on those preferred by AIPAC and Israeli President Bibi “Nyet and Yahoo!”
In conclusion, my response in short is to stand down and piss off. President Barack Obama is the Commander in Chief. So yes little boys, a black man (partially to be exact since he is also half white) is in the White House and as far as anyone can tell, he has not done anything radical yet except engage in critical thinking. For some, that is truly radical indeed.
