Aside from the arguments you advance is one you don't mention: "Twin Towers II" would be a mixed-use facility (as is the Time Warner Center), which would further enhance the vibrancy of the project. I am happy to give the devil his due. Mayor Bloomberg has done some very good things -- but only time will tell whether or not his leadership will be a net gain or loss for this most fabulous of cities.
